From a conversation six years ago between BON Plumbing Director Ben Faherty and Richard Finnan from Riverside Housing, the BON Plumbing Christmas Hamper Drive was born. Richard explained that people could only visit a food bank three times a year, and that many of his clients had already used their quota and were facing the very real prospect of having no food for Christmas. After an evening pontificating over the state of the nation, and the desperate situation many people are finding themselves in during the festive period, they decided action must be taken, and the Hamper Drive started.
